Surrounding Area
Our school is located in Ota ward which is the southwest part of Tokyo and is the largest of Tokyo 23 wards. Ota ward has various Japanese historical places and a plenty of water resources such as “Kaihin Park”(placed in front of Tokyo Bay) and “Tama River”. Also, Ota ward (which has the Haneda International Airport) is a place where you can easily access to the downtown of Tokyo and Yokohama.
Omorisanno Hospital
It is a general hospital located about a 5-minute walk from the school. It is not necessary to go for small illnesses such as colds, but it is very reliable in case of accidents resulting in serious injuries or illnesses that cannot be treated at general hospitals.
Omori Station
The Keihin Tohoku Line stops at JR Omori Station. Kohwa Institure of Japanese Language is about a 12-minute walk from Omori Station. It is very convenient to go anywhere, such as Tokyo and Yokohama. In addition, Haneda Airport, which will increasingly serve as an international airport in the future, can be reached in about 20 minutes by train.
Ikegami Honmonji Temple
It is a sacred site where Nichiren, a priest from the Kamakura period, was ordained. There are impressive buildings such as the main hall and the five-story pagoda scattered throughout the vast grounds. Every year from October 11th to 13th, a memorial service is held to commemorate the virtues of Nichiren, and the evening of the 12th, the Mantoro lighting ceremony, attracts a crowd of about 300,000 people.
Haneda Airport
Tokyo’s gateway to the sky, Tokyo International Airport. It has a domestic-only Terminal 1 and 2, as well as an international passenger terminal. It is equipped with an observation deck, souvenir shops, and restaurants.
